How the stone is made
Extraction and crushing
Rock from the face is fed to the SANDVIK and METSO crushing and screening plants.
Screening and checks
The material is separated into fractions; the laboratory checks strength, flakiness and dust content.
Weighing and loading
Quality documents are issued for the batch, the truck crosses the weighbridge and heads for your site.
SANDVIK and METSO plants
The plants at both quarries produce cubical grains and an accurate fraction. Cubical grains pack more tightly than flat ones — which drives both the grade strength of concrete and how long a road base lasts.

Two quarries in the Akmola region
Both quarries lie south-east of Astana. Which one your material ships from depends on the fraction — your manager will say when the request is placed.
Everest quarry
Granite crushed stone in the main 5-20 and 20-40 mm fractions. SANDVIK crushing and screening plant.
Severny quarry
Crushed stone, sand, screenings and sand-gravel mix — for concrete, backfill and landscaping. METSO equipment.
Documents for every batch
Laboratory checks and conformity certificates confirm that what is in the truck is what you are paying for. Companies get the full set of closing documents.
